My life motto is: "What God has for me, it is for me."
Katrina Alexandria Mitchell is the 19 year old daughter of James and Karen Lovett. Her hobbies and interests include miming with the mime ministry of her church and enjoying time with her family and friends.

Katrina is a 2009 graduate of Alton High School where she graduated with honors. She received the Silver Medallion, the Gold Alpha, and was on the National Honor Roll. She also held membership in the National Honor Society, Upward Bound, Student Council, Thespian Troupe 126, and the Minority Excellence Program.

Katrina was a cheerleader for six years in the Alton School District. She was involved with several community service projects as dictated by the
Student Council and National Honor Society.

Katrina is a member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church where the Reverend Velda C. Peals is her pastor. Upon going to college she was a very active member of the church where she was the director of the Mime Ministry and the Secretary of Sunday school.

Katrina currently holds the title of the 2009 Miss Essence of Youth Debutante and Miss Talent of the National Council of Negro women.

Katrina now attends the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign where she plans to earn a Bachelor's Degree in International Studies and a Minor in African American Studies. She will use her degree as preparation for a career in buying and purchasing.

At the U of I she is the secretary for the Business of Fashion Organization, a member of Impact Bible Study, an active member with 100 Strong.

Katrina attends The Church of The Living God, also known as The love Corner, under the leadership of Bishop Lloyd E. Gwin.
She aspires to join the Christian sorority, Elogeme Adolphi, and the Praise Dance Group at The Love Corner.

Katrina has finished her first semester with a 3.3 GPA. She prides herself in being a role model and setting an example for those to come after her.
